Fun Day Friday challenge 158 - is Cut it Up, use dies and machines with paper piecing.

I embossed mauve card with paw prints embossing folder.  Added doily and butterfly die cuts.  Printed Robyn's Fetish stamp which was given to me Kitty Kitty Kat 3 times and paper pieced it.
Added sentiments from Digital Scrapbooking  Studio.
Layered all onto purple card.   My scanner doesn't scan colours properly and the purples look blue in the scan.

I had problems making this it as I rarely use die cuts due to my bad hands and I don't have many. 

 For paper piecing  I managed to do three layers of the cat.

I printed Crafts and Me digi stamp Vintage Blossom onto white card and partly coloured with Prismacolor pencils.

I was lucky to win Crafty Hazelnut's monthly pattern paper challenge for August and when my prize came - Rose Garden Creations Design pad, the papers were perfect to use with this image.

I layered the image onto two of the papers and added ribbon.  Layered all onto pink card.

I have used the colours blue and pink and balloons on my journal page

Painted the journal pages with metallic pink blush paint and blue twinkling H2O paint.  Spritzed with distress pens  Sprayed Dylusions spray through stencil.  Added punched balloons and journalling.  Printed photos from the Mad for Markers opening day party.and put on top.  Added balloons and gold stickers.

I have decorated the cover of a mixed media journal I am making for my second grand daughter Emily.  I hope to be able to make a journal for each of my 4 grand daughters to leave some encouraging verses and samples of theirs and my artwork

I painted the cover with purple lumiere paint that I haven't used for years.  Painted stencil with white and pink lumiere paint.  Painted the edges with Purple iridescent creative medium.  Added paper lace down the left side.     Printed fairy sentiments from Create with TLC and pasted on top.  Printed copies of my grand daughters fairy drawings and pasted on top.  Added fairy sticker.  Doodled with white pen.  Added pink rhinestones (they don't show very well in the scan).

Mission Inspiration facebook group September mission

I joined the Mission Inspiration Facebook group this month and this is my first journal page for that group - following the Mission for September and also the first page in my new journal

1.  Cover your page with face fragments (I used photos of my second grand daughter Emily and faces drawn by her)
2.  Add thin layers of coloured paint (I used purple and 2 pinks)
3.  Stamp text or patterns over your page.  (I stamped verses and flowers but they don't show up very well in the scan)
4.  Add journal quote or phrase (doesn't show in the scan well either - on bottom right hand side - "I am not here to fit into your world.  I am here to make my own" - borrowed from someone else's page)
5.  Make marks with paint, inks or sprays (I sprayed with dylusion sprays)
6.  Add a focal image (I added the self portrait of Emily that she drew when she had blue hair)
7.  Add washi tape or strips of coloured paper (I added sparkly purple washi tape)
8. Add colour through a stencil.  (Two white butterflies, a yellow butterfly, green and blue butterflies, Purple flower which looks black in the scan)
9.  Add doodles, scribbles or zentangles (Added white scribbles)
10.  Finish with white border  (Painted white Gesso.
